found us. Now that you are here, we hope you will have fun browsing
through our shops and boutiques and like the styles and designs we
have made for our store.
We feel that the power of pretend and imaginative play can expand
horizons far beyond home and family. The same pretend and imaginative
play allows a young person to solidify family values in a fast and
changing world. For numerous generations girls have played with dolls.
They have become her best friends, a method for her to learn role
modeling and a creative means to examine her world and beyond.
Undressing and dressing her dolls requires skill and manipulation.
Taking her dolls visiting teaches social skills. Telling and writing
about them develops language skills. And last but not least, by loving
a doll, she learns to love. Of course a doll is a basic necessity,
but the doll must have clothes to consummate the play.
With all of this in mind, we at Doll Jems began designing and manufacturing
doll clothing in 1985. Nearly all of our clothing is made here in
Arvada, CO, a suburb of Denver. We specialize in a full line of fine
quality clothing for all porcelain, vinyl and cloth bodied dolls from
12 inches through 19 inches. We emphasize clothing for 18 inch dolls
from the Pleasant Company's American Girl Collection©,
Corolle©, Goetz©,
Lissi©, Magic Attic©,
Kingstate© and other fine doll manufacturers.
Doll Jems is not affiliated with any doll company or any doll clothes
manufacturer. We have our own designer and our own manufacturing facility.
Our patterns are original and individually designed in traditional
and modern styles. All fabrics are carefully selected to be appropriate
in color, print and fiber content for each kind of garment. From the
very beginning our goal has been to provide top quality clothing and
to serve our customers well.
We are very excited about presenting all of our outfits to you. As
you browse, please notice the fit of our clothes, the abundance of
lace and ribbon and the fullness of our skirts. When you receive your
first order you can see the quality of our fabric and how well they
are made. Our sewing team is very proud of their workmanship.
